About tour
The private tour of the Lower Park of Peterhof with an inside visit to one of the lesser palaces is what we recommend as the best choice because: 1) it will leave you enough time to see the park and fountains which are the top attraction of Peterhof, 2) you avoid all lines which are so common at the Grand Palace, 3) some of the lesser palaces are no less interesting and unique than the Grand Palace. Another advantage of this tour is that you can make your choice which particular palace you want to visit during the tour but not in advance. If you are interested in history, we suggest you opt for an inside tour of the Monplaisir Palace. That said, you need to know Monplaisir is open for visits not before end of May and closed no later than early September. In addition to that even in the summer months Monplaisir may be closed for visits if the weather is rainy. If you are travelling with kids, your best choice will be an inside tour of the Bath Building. There you will see a real Russian bath but used by tsars and their families. Among attractions are a shower chandelier and an amusement fountain. A lot of fun guaranteed to kids and adults alike.

Russian ballet is primarily a classical ballet that preserves the traditions of the 19th century. This does not mean that we do not have a modern ballet, we have one, and it is a very good modern ballet (for example, the Boris Eifman troupe). But it is classical ballet that is truly unique, because nowhere else in the world is it raised to such a high level.
